Michael was brought up in Warwickshire after leaving Grammar School he studied at the Birmingham College of Art. From there he went on to complete an Apprenticeship in the printing industry and qualified as a lithographer. He also became a member of the Society of Lithographer Artists and Designers ( S.L.A.D.E.). In the 1960´s Michael was called up for National Service in the army. During this time he worked the War Office in charge of Publicity and Advertising to promote recruitment for the Regular Forces. After a few years as a photo Litho Artist he went into Sales and Marketing and then started his own colour origination company specialising in Fine Art Reproductions. After a successful business career he moved to Cornwall with his two young daughters in the late 1980´s. Michael won first prize in a watercolour landscape painting competition this was a National Event with over a thousand entrants. He has exhibited at the prestigious “ Three Spires Festival” in Cornwall, many of his original paintings can be seen at venues throughout the country.
